A Note About
Our Top
Waters Lures
- The Real Pro's Flutter Prop lure is 3-3/4 inches
in length and is approximately 3/8oz when completed. You may wish to add
2 or 3 rattle beads before gluing if a rattling lure is wanted. Two size 4
trebles and two size 3 split rings are needed per lure. Use our 1-1/8"
(size 4-1/2) or
1-1/4" (Size 5) pointed propeller blades. This
bait uses eye screws to attach the props so no figure "8" wire forms
are required here. Most lure maker's use two propeller blades but you may choose
to use only one on the rear of the bait.
- Real Pro's Top Water Blurp is 2-1/2 inches
long and should be approximately 3/8oz when completed. You may wish to add 3 to
6 rattle beads before gluing if a rattling lure is wanted. Two size 6 trebles and two size 3 split rings are needed per lure. Use
one of our 1-1/8" (Size 4-1/2) or
1-1/4" (Size 5) pointed propeller blades on the rear. This
bait uses eye screws to attach the prop so no figure "8" wire forms
are required here. Three 5/8" screw eyes are required per lure. Optionally
you can use a size 1 hook hanger to attach the
bottom treble hook. If you decide to use a hook hanger using a 1/20" drill
bit to drill a second pilot hole for the required 1/4" mounting screw.
- The Real Pro's Prop Jack lure is 2-1/2 inches
in length and 1/2" in diameter in the middle. It should be approximately 3/8oz when completed. You may wish to add
2 or 3 rattle beads before gluing if a rattling lure is wanted. Two size 4
trebles and one size 3 split ring ( for the rear hook) is needed along with a
single size 1 hook hanger and two 1/4
inch mounting screws for the bottom treble. Use 2 of our 1-1/8" or
1-1/4" pointed propeller blades and 4 one quarter inch (1/4") cup
washers on this lure. This
bait uses eye screws to attach the props so no figure "8" wire forms
are required. Two small 1/16" holes must be drilled to a depth of
3/16" into the bottom of the body for the hook hanger. The Prop Jack is one
of the simplest lures to assemble and is highly recommend for beginners and
experts alike.
