great for carving your own wooden lures and wooden lure bodies. Fine quality northern Canadian basswood
grows slowly with a tight straight grain for easy hand carving. Knot free
blocks, cut to rough size, simply hand carve, sand, seal, paint and add our hook
hangers, diving lips for great fish catching lures. Our basswood is also
excellent for lathe turning.
Basswood is the choice wood for new and
experienced lure makers alike. It is an excellent wood for making all styles of
wooden lures because it resists splitting, easily hand carved and is easy to
work on with hand or machine tools. Holds paint well.
